The Montepulciano grapes are harvested late in October to obtain the maximum flavor profile possible in this wine. The vineyards are located 1500 feet above sea level and have a southern exposure. Vinification includes extended maceration of 15-20 days before raffining in stainless steel. The color is ruby red with violet reflections; hint of raspberry and cherry notes. Alcohol is 13.5% with acidity at 5.0 g/l. Enjoy with aged pecorino cheese and excellent with grilled pork chops.
