Ruche' di Castagnole Monferrato
Producer: Tenuta Dei Re
Size: 750 ml
Legend has it that may years ago the Ruche' grape was brought over clandestinely by monks from France, where it was used to make elegant yet refined wines. The Italians in Piemonte named it such because of the vines' ability to grow on rocky hillsides in the area. The wine starts out dry and aromatic and finishes with a long velvety friut-laden finish. Fantastic with agnolotti or ravioli, and even better with grilled wild game.
